Experienced and Credentialed Educator

Merrilee founded Tailor-Made Tutoring and Homeschooling as a way to provide consistent one-on-one attention without the interruption that often comes with larger tutoring centers. Her passion lies in inspiring students to reach their full potential and is dedicated to providing personalized educational support to help each student thrive academically and personally. Her commitment to excellence is reflected in the success of her students, and she takes pride in being a part of their educational journey.  

Merrilee is an experienced and credentialed teacher with a Bachelor of Science in Biology . Her professional experience is vast, including  teaching high school, tutoring, homeschooling, writing college level curriculum, and working as a professional editor for books and course studies. 

On a personal note, Merrilee has an innate ability to connect to kids of all ages on a personal level, giving her students a sense of ease and comfort. She is the mother of two wonderful adults, wife of over 30 years, and is a force on the tennis and pickleball courts. Merrilee has been a resident of San Clemente for 22 years.
